That means that people who have licenses in their native countries will not be able to get married with just the licenses from their native countries. The license from the Bahamas can be received for a cost of a hundred dollars at the Registrar General's Department. A notarized document of certification stating that the couple is not married yet will be needed too.

A pastor from the church that the couple attends can assist in the wedding. However, a local pastor from the Bahamas will have to perform the wedding.

Also, same sex marriages are not available in the Bahamas. These are not mentioned in the laws in the country.
